Hello All, I know some of you are still having issues with getting set up on Weebly for access to our site. I apologize for not making the last meeting. I had personal issues to deal with and simply was unable to attend. What I would like to offer is the same deal for the July workshop. I will bring my laptop and help anyone that needs it, to get set up. If Dave or anyone else has plans for that workshop already we can simply work on this at a table in the library. I did some trouble shooting and I can't find any reason that some of you are not getting the email invite. Remember the email comes from Weebly, not me. My name would be in the subject line inviting you to join the club web site. Check out the screen shot on the bottom of page 2 of the handout and you'll see what it looks like. See you all soon. Pat

For any of you that were unable to attend last night's meeting, you missed a fun night. We had no workshop scheduled and i decided we would do an open forum. We all sat in a circle and talked. We planned a bunch of fieldtrips for this summer and fall and discussed the bilaws (updating a few things that needed to be updated) so Joe can make the final draft. It was nice being able to talk and visit and we actually had a large group show up last night. Everyone said they enjoyed it and I think we should do this every now and then so members can have time to express their interests and discuss topics. I thought maybe doing this once every 3 months would be in order. Below are the fieldtrips that have been planned so you can add to your calendar.
Thursday July 11 - We are going to see the "Tall Ships" come into port with their sails in Bay City. Time to be determined and of course we will carpool. This is on a Thursday, because we wanted to be able to see the ships actually come into port with their sails, and not just docked. Saturday July 13 - Ragtime at Greenfield Village - Harvey has a pass that can get in 3 more people if you don't have a pass..the park is open til 9 that day - we can discuss time at the next meeting. August 1 - We will be hanging our pics at the City Coffee house in Allen Park after work - say 6:30 September 1 - We will be picking up our pics at City Coffee house and taking them to hang at the Grind in Wyandotte. Time to be determined. September 28 we will be going to the Detroit Zoo - will probably meet at Sears to Carpool. 10:00 October 12 we will be going to the Gilmore Museum in Kalamazoo. We thought we would go for the fall colors since it is on a farm type setting. This will be an allllll day trip since the drive is 2 1/2 hours each way. We will have lunch and of course carpool. We will probably leave at around 8 am. We will narrow down the time closer to the event. If you have any questions on any of this information, please bring it up at the next meeting. Everyone who attended the Victorian shoot: I am getting calls and emails from the models asking when all their discs are going to be available. I had put out a deadline of June 4 and have only gotten a few discs from our members. These models gave up 3 hours on a Saturday to model for us, so I would like to give them all their pictures that we promised them. If you haven't given me your disc, please bring it to the meeting on Tuesday so I can get this taken care of for them. Thanks! Claudia Hello Everyone, Sorry I've been absent for the last few weeks. I'm starting to catch up with things and will have the June competition winners posted soon. Our June workshop meeting will be an open forum. Please be prepared to bring up and share any items you think should be discussed. We don't often have time for discussion so this is your chance. If anyone has any field trip ideas please do the research and bring it to the meeting. Lastly, many of you have not yet gone through the web site set up for access. If you need help please let me know. Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend the meeting. A dear friend of mine passed away and I will be at the funeral home Tuesday evening. Pat Yes this will be a fun night because we don't often get a chance to just sit and talk about photography and get to know people. A lot of people are not able to meet after the meeting at the restaurant and miss out on a lot of fun. So I would like to see a good turnout. If anyone would like to bring some refreshments or baked goods that would be awesome! Any ideas for future workshops for Dave would be welcome! Claudia
One of the downsides of using Weebly, is the amount of junk mail that I get now that I have an account to edit the site. Is anyone else seeing the same thing? I've looked and can't find a place to change the settings.
