Last night we had the opportunity to shoot the Buffalo Soldiers on location. We had a great turnout of members from our club. The soldiers were a lot of fun and I think we all got some great shots. Don't forget to burn your images to a dvd and give to Kim Little. I have posted some of my pics since I edited them this morning.
Harvey went and checked out the site where we will be meeting for this shoot. See below:
Claudia, This is the Buffalo soldiers site. Its a barn and attached club house, its on the north side of Joy Road just east of Lahser. As you approach from Telegraph there is a horse crossing sign just before you get to the barn , and the whole site is enclosed by a white board fence. Also they have 5 horses housed there. Harvey On Tuesday, June 16 on our workshop night we will be doing a shoot for the Buffalo Soldier's Heritage Association (9th and 10th Cavalry). The shoot will begin at 7 pm. The address is:
21800 Joy Rd. Redford Charter Township, MI 48239 - One mile East of Telegraph. They strongly suggest using Telegraph NOT Southfield Fwy. We will take daylight pics of them in uniform and then dusk photos around the campfire. We will all give them our pics, as we usually do for our models. They are requesting that their pics be in Black and White or Sepia tone. They will use our pics to hang where they meet and put up a sign that the photos were taken and donated by Creative Camera Club of Southgate. A fun shoot and some good PR for us. They are very excited and appreciative of us doing this. Lets have a good turnout! Thanks - Claudia |
