Just to let everyone know...Bryce Denison will be coming to speak to our club and hold a workshop on "Pictures with Motion" on September 20th (our workshop night). Dave Kaz will be away and unable to do his normal presentation. I will put this announcement on our website as well.

Dan Holowicki will be hosting a summer picnic at his home August 16th at 6:00 p.m. All members are invited to attend. Dan will supply hot dogs, chicken, ice tea, munchies and lemonade. Everyone is welcome to bring a dish to pass. Also, BYO chair may be helpful. Please let Dan know (if you haven't already) if you are planning to attend so he can accurately plan the picnic. Drop him an email (he is on the club membership list).The Club has scheduled a Car Shoot for Sunday, Aug. 21st at 4:00 PM. The shoot is being set up by Jeff Thomas who will be providing models for the shoot. Dan and Darlene will be bringing their cars, and Jeff will be arranging for a couple more. The shoot will be held at the Trenton Viaduct. The viaduct is just East of Fort Street off of West Rd. There is a little side road that will take you under the bridge. If you end up driving over the bridge into Old Trenton, you have missed the side road. There will be opportunities to shoot the cars, the models, and the models with the cars. Members are asked to submit images of the cars that will be given to the car owners.
Jeff has just announced his Summer Field Trips
As a reminder for everyone: there will not be a meeting on Tuesday, July 5. Competition will be held on July 19 instead and we will skip the workshop for this month. .
Our workshop at Dan's turned out great! Dave had stations set up with lighting to learn how to light tabletop subjects. Dan posed in some pics also. Jan provided hotdogs for lunch and a good time was had by all.The club is planning a Woodworking Photo Workshop to be held on Saturday, May 14th at 10:00 a.m. Dan Holowicki will host the event at his home in his woodshop. The purpose is to take pictures of different tools, woodworking action shots and products. If you are interested, please let Dan know (call or email him), so he can plan on how many club members he will need to accommodate. Jan will be suppling a BBQ lunch and Dan will provide Lemonade and ice tea. This promises to be a unique challenge to our group and a lot of fun. It will also count towards our December club assignment.
The Photo Arts Club of Toledo is holding its 34th Annual Photo Contest. They are accepting entries from 2/16 through 3/16. Attached is a pdf file with details of the contest and entry information.
