Last night we had our picture of the year competition. Pat will soon be posting the results and the winners' pictures here on our site. Pat and I will be ordering the tropies for the winners on Friday to be presented at club as soon as they come in.
We went over the 2014 assignments last night because I was getting a lot of questions on some of the categories. I have made the revisions that we discussed and printed them below for you. Please make sure you refer to the "Revised" list when entering your pictures in assignment competition. Thanks! Claudia

MONTHLY PHOTO COMPETITION ASSIGNMENTS
JANUARY – Picture of the Year
FEBRUARY – Planes, Trains, and Automobiles-may include any motor vehicle.
MARCH – Beauty In Every-day Objects
APRIL – Still Life
MAY – Corporate Logos and Signs
JUNE – Patterns
JULY – “Faceless Portraits”…Make them candid, not a posed picture. Don’t show faces, except possibly the side.
AUGUST – “Bug’s Eye View”…Shoot from a different perspective
…high, low, extraordinary angles
SEPTEMBER – “What the Heck Is That ?” Shoot an object
close-up or from an interesting angle so that
it is hard to identify. Let us guess what it is.
OCTOBER – The Marketplace
NOVEMBER – Reflections or Refractions
DECEMBER – Wind, Rain, Snow, or Ice
