We discussed the next fieldtrip, which was the Mudhens, and there was not much interest. So we decided to go to the Gilmore Museum on July 19. The information and details are below in Bob's blog entry. Meet up is at 8:00 at Sears.
Jim Crapko is slowly being phased into Pat's job as competition organizer and being Vanna. Pat has a lot on her plate right now and wants to pass on the job, and Jim thankfully volunteered. Pat will start with next competition showing Jim the ropes, so starting in August for competition, please now send your photos to Jim Crapko - [email protected] and continue sending also to Jim Hollandsworth.
The July workshop will be a special one. Dave will be showing the DVD of the international competition between Southgate Creative Camera Club of Southgate, MI and the Southgate Photographic Society of London, England. This competition will consist of 30 images from each club, including scores and commentary from the U.S and British judges. It's always interesting to see other clubs' pictures and how they edit and compose their shots. I hope we have a good turnout that night to view this slideshow and discuss everyone's views on the comments and scores. A big night with big fun!
